i want to see more nuanced, complicated and complex representations of all that we are even if we are playing roles that have historically been “assigned us”. roles that hollywood, books and theater still too often perpetuate. i am tired of our experiences, our narratives, our traumas, our victories being essentialized, otherized and revised to take out the depth and the truth of our full humanity sometimes even by “us”.
